# Enhance Your Relationship with Horses: Join Our Hold Me Tight with Horses Group!

## Strengthen Your Bond Through Connection and Adventure

Ok—this feels a little awkward!

Apparently, my AI says I should blog to improve traffic to my website... but YIKES! So, here goes nothing.

I’m actually super excited to be offering the Hold Me Tight with Horses group this July and again in September. Some of you may already know the Hold Me Tight material — it’s based on a powerful book that’s been translated into over 24 languages and is used by couples around the world. I’ve been running HMT groups for over 10 years, and while I’ve always loved the content, this year is different.

Together with a small team from across North America, we’ve been exploring how to integrate horse experiences into the group — and wow, what a shift! I’ve now run this group twice with horses, and to say I’m exhilarated would be an understatement.

Why Are Horses So Effective in Therapy?

Why am I so thrilled? Because actively working on your relationship is hard. And doing it in front of strangers? Even harder (at first). But then something beautiful happens — you realize you're not alone. You feel normal. You feel supported. And then... there are the horses.

Horses help us stay in the moment. They pull us out of the spiral of who said what and when. They help us connect to the emotions underneath the conflict. They ask us to slow down, to be curious, to lead with empathy, and to explore new perspectives. Those insights often mirror the very dance we engage in with our partners.

Honestly, I could go on and on — but I’ll save it for another blog.

Horse-Integrated Group Sessions: More Than Just Fun

Why do they work so well? Horses are incredibly intuitive. They sense emotions and respond in ways that help us build self-awareness and core relationship skills.

In fact, a study by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association found that 87% of participants experienced noticeable improvements in confidence and emotional regulation after just a few sessions.

The Experience of Connecting with Horses

In our sessions, you’ll engage directly with horses in an environment designed for learning and growth. This unique approach allows participants to gain insights not typically accessible in traditional therapy settings.

Each participant interacts with horses in various ways. You will lead, groom, and communicate non-verbally with these magnificent animals. This experience fosters trust and promotes deeper connections not only with the horses but also with each other.

By witnessing how horses respond to your emotional state, you will gain valuable self-awareness. You may find that what the horses mirror about your feelings can transform how you comprehend your relationship dynamics.

Thriving Relationships Through Equine Therapy

The beauty of horse-integrated therapy lies in its capacity to highlight and address underlying issues. Many participants report feelings of relief, understanding, and motivation to work on their relationships after working with horses.

Imagine gathering the courage to communicate more effectively with your partner. The supportive atmosphere of the group, alongside the calming presence of the horses, can create a perfect recipe for pivotal conversations.

Whether you're dealing with minor conflicts or more significant challenges, the experience offered in our groups can have a lasting impact. The skills developed during these sessions often extend far beyond the horse pasture.

The Importance of Community Support

One of the most valuable aspects of this experience is the sense of community. As you connect with others, you’ll discover shared struggles and triumphs. You’ll realize that you aren't alone in your challenges. That understanding can be incredibly liberating.

Being part of a group fosters accountability. When you share your journey and progress, it deepens your commitment to grow alongside your partner. And together, you can navigate the ups and downs of your relationship with newfound skills and insights.

Wishing you a summer filled with connection, adventure, and self-discovery. Here’s to blogging without pressure — just sharing the moments that matter.

Don't miss this chance to enhance your relationship through unique horse experiences. Join us for the Hold Me Tight with Horses group this July or September — I promise it’ll be an experience you won’t forget!
